For several centuries mankind has tried to make peace in the world, but to no avail. The reason is, as Paul explains, 'the way of peace they have not known' (Rom.3:17). The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable. Only a pure gospel - Jesus + nothing - will produce peace.
