SEVERE Potential in Western Indiana, West Michigan on Saturday -Great Lakes Weather

Despite the number of variables at play with this event, models are showing some elevated severe weather potential connected to a low-pressure system in the midwest that will produce significant severe weather the day before. Tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail should all pose a threat on this day. Directional differences in wind at multiple levels of the atmosphere on observed hodographs do suggest decent helicity in the atmosphere.
