MUST WATCH: A Florida father has sued the school after his daughter attempted suicide

Florida father Wendell Perez tells the state surgeon general that Clay County District Schools secretly "transitioned" his 12-year-old daughter without his knowledge and "affirmed" a male name and pronouns, which contributed to her attempted suicide in a school bathroom.

The Perez family filed a lawsuit earlier this year against the school district, which has disputed the family's claims. Similar lawsuits have been filed in California and Wisconsin.

This is a dangerous usurpation of parents' rights. States should immediately pass legislation requiring public schools to notify parents of any "gender transition," unless it would create an immediate danger.

No school should be secretly manipulating the sexuality of children.
