Authorities sought the public’s help in finding the members of a “flash mob” of looters who swarmed into a 7-Eleven store in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles as part of a street takeover earlier this week.

The incident occurred about 12:40 a.m. Monday at Figueroa Street and El Segundo Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“Motorists flooded the intersection and blocked traffic with their vehicles from all directions to create a ‘pit’ in the middle of the intersection,” police said in a statement. “During the incident, spectators exited their vehicles and watched as motorists recklessly drove in a maneuver known as ‘doing donuts.’
