Quebec’s Bill 21 (which prohibits public servants from wearing religious symbols at work) violates religious freedom, which is why the provincial government invoked the Charter’s “notwithstanding clause” to pass the legislation.

Guest Bob Reynolds explains the innovative legal argument that the CLF (Christian Legal Fellowship) is using to intervene in a legal case challenging this discriminatory bill.

With over five decades of experience practicing law, Mr. Reynolds brings a wealth of insight and expertise. He shares his observations on the legal system and the state of religious freedom in Canada before and after the Charter.
