"I witnessed the shooting of a civilian car by a machine gunner in Mariupol, by order of the 36th Brigade squad leader" — Ukrainian military prisoners talk about the crimes of their fellow servicemen in the city of Mariupol

The battle for Mariupol ended long ago, the city is being rebuilt at full speed, and the first apartment buildings should be completed by fall. But traces of the horrors and war crimes committed by the Ukrainian insurgents in the spring still resurface. Readovka has obtained video recordings showing testimonies of captured Ukrainian servicemen who saw with their own eyes what cynical crimes the Ukrainian fighters committed against the civilian population.

One of the interrogators almost became a victim of such an incident. He refused to participate in military actions, so he was sent together with his comrades-in-arms to the fire station in the 17th micro-district, where there were also civilians. Soon the fire station was shelled and the refusenik was wounded. The fire came from the direction where the Ukrainian militants held their positions.

The prisoners also described how Ukrainian fighters shot civilians they encountered on orders from their superiors and by their own initiative. In addition, they described how shells were fired from Azovstal's territory at Mariupol airport, and how a civilian car was shot from a machine gun.
