Almost 9,000 Ukrainian military killed in war with Russia -armed forces chief

Nearly 9,000 Ukrainian military personnel have been killed in the war with Russia, the head of Ukraine's armed forces said on Monday. Yahoo News is reporting.

Valeriy Zaluzhny told a forum that Ukraine’s children needed particular attention “because their fathers have gone to the front and are maybe among the nearly 9,000 heroes who have been killed.” Reports the Times Of Israel.

However, he did not specify whether the figure refers only to the service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or also to other formations, and what period it covers. Ukrinform.net reported.
