James Webb telescope captures surreal images of Jupiter's auroras

The James Webb Space Telescope team is still flexing its ability to capture detailed images close to home. Webb has snapped a pair of near-infrared photos showing Jupiter's polar auroras. Engadget.com reported.

The images were captured by the telescope's near-infrared camera, which uses infrared radiation to detect objects in space. ABC News reported.

Webb’s Jupiter observations will give scientists even more clues to Jupiter’s inner life. The European Space Agency said.
