The EA-3B is modified from the A-3B. Unlike the EA-3A

it mainly improves the electrical equipment, and the new engine adds air refueling equipment. A side-looking radar is believed to be housed in a boat-shaped fairing under the fuselage, along with infrared sensors. The prototype made its first test flight on December 10, 1958. A total of 24 were produced.
