Alfonso “Fonso” Jose Manuel Pena Flores was born on October, 25th of 1998 in Mexico. He will eternally be 23 due to a car accident on Christmas Eve while heading home to spend time with his family. Hopefully, his life will be a reminder to others to drive safer, wear their seat belt, and take your time.

Fonso was the only child of Luis and Maria Gomez of Robbins, NC who lived to love him. He is survived by both grandmothers Rafaela Jaimes and Antonia Villegas of Mexico. May the Lord’s peace be given to his numerous family members and friends alike who are left to cherish many fond memories.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Pine Rest Cemetery in Robbins, NC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at 2 PM in the church Alfonso grew up attending, Pentecostes El Verbo located at 7079 NC HWY 705, Eagle Springs, NC. Next to the Domino’s Pizza in Robbins, NC.

Fonso graduated from North Moore High School in 2017. After graduating he began business courses at Sandhills Community College and was one class away from graduating.

Fonso was a quiet person who seemed shy to most he met. To his inner circle, he brought light to every gathering with a simple glimpse of his ginormous smile. Fonso valued true friendships where he could be himself in all ways. He enjoyed every adventure life brought his way. Being an open-minded person, he wasn’t scared to try something new by getting out of his comfort zone. Fonso leaves those who knew him a legacy of selflessness and he would wish all the desire to strive to be the best they can be every day.
