Bonfires - Hammocking Fail - Giant Bug in Patagonia, AZ

We finally got to one of the Southern most cities in AZ! Patagonia is a very small town about a 30 minute drive from the Mexico border. As such, this camping spot near a dusty dirt road out in the middle of nature had near constant Border Patrol agents driving by, day and night!

Upon arriving, we found ourselves a nice spot, and immediately broke out our camp stove to start frying up some dinner that consisted of hamburgers containing bone chips... Yay! These things were kinda low quality. We also had a couple cows walk by the next day; we made dinner of those too. JK :)

Katrina was on a constant search for the perfect tree from which to hang her favorite hammock to properly leisure. Sadly, this did not happen, even after spending a rather long time looking.

We went hiking for fun, and in search of firewood, and of course always keeping an eye out for hammock trees... LOL

I found the most insanely oversized grasshopper on one of my walks, and brought it back to Katrina as she worked on her desk in the trailer. I put a $20 bill next to it for scale. She tentatively poked at it with her sleeve before learning to accept it was a thing that was now on her desk.

Finally, we ended our camping adventure off right with a massive bonfire! I was able to get it to a point of going well over our heads, and was too intense to stand within 15' for more than a few seconds. I was very pleased with myself for my fantastic creation.
