Public organizations of Kherson raised the Russian tricolor on the TV tower of the city. A giant banner measuring four by six meters was hoisted to the highest point of Kherson on the Day of the Russian Flag, which is celebrated on August 22.

The height of the TV tower is 200 meters, it is the tallest building in the liberated territory. It is noted that in honor of the holiday, a concert will be held in the city with the participation of Russian artists.

Earlier it was reported that the head of the Kyiv State Military Administration Nikolai Zhirnov instructed the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko to ban mass events from August 22 to 25 in the capital. On Wednesday, August 24, Ukraine celebrates Independence Day. The authorities of the city fear that these days attacks on critical infrastructure, military and industrial facilities may be inflicted.
