"A Day of Rest in the Light of the Gospel"

Only after painting the background of a masterpiece can an artist lay the details of the image on top. So it is with religious topics. I like to remind us of the good news before unpacking and harnessing the treasures held within the range of biblical topics which are preachable. In this sermon, I touch on the idea of a day of rest, which is widely discussed and often a site of conflict or consternation. Flip the script by remembering who and what God has done for us at Calvary, and then begin to look at just how powerful a blessing the concept is for us as humans and Believers.
