Built in the memory of Kalidasa, the great poet, the Kalidas Smarak (Memorial) is located in Ramtek, near Ramtek Temple in Nagpur, Maharashtra state, India. It is believed to be the site where Kalidas wrote Meghadootham, one of his most famous works. The interior of this monument has paintings portraying scenes from the plays of Kalidasa. The memorial remains open daily from 8 in the morning to 8:30 in the evening and charges a nominal fee.
