In this episode, we welcome Carl Trueman to the show. He is an ecclesiastical historian and bestselling author of titles like The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, Strange New World, and others. He was Professor of Historical Theology and Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he held the Paul Woolley Chair of Church History. In 2018, Trueman resigned his position at Westminster to become a full-time undergraduate professor at Grove City College, serving as Full Professor in their Department of Biblical and Religious Studies as of the fall semester of that same year. He is also a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and a contributing editor at First Things. In this interview, we discuss the foundations of the transgender revolution, why people today are obsessed with the concept of “self”, whether the sexual revolution will soon expand to include pedophilia, how the Ls, Gs, Bs, Ts, and Qs became comrades, the devolution of modern culture, how Christians can push back against darkness in society, and much more. Let’s get into it…
