Sometimes we take work home with us. This was the case for real-life news anchors Jeannette Reyes and Robert Burton, who recently had a baby together named Isabella. The result was a hilarious fake newscast in which the couple narrated their everyday lives raising a newborn.

Jeannette and Robert live in the Washington, DC, area. Mom Jeannette works for Fox 5 DC as a news anchor. Dad Robert works for ABC 7 News. Isabella is just 7 weeks old. Jeannette and Robert’s fictional Baby News Network, or BNN for short, makes even the most mundane baby moments feel like breaking news stories.

The video posted on both Twitter and TikTok starts out with Jeannette waking up “Bella” and saying good morning to her. She says, "Good morning, Bella! It's 9:52. Hopefully you slept well. Certainly, no one else did, but we're not going to point any fingers." She then turns it over to Dad with the weather report.

Robert states, “Well, JR, beautiful day outside, with temps in the mid-80s. No humidity.” He goes on, “Will we get to enjoy it? Well, if spit-ups, feedings, and diaper changes don't get in the way, we just might be able to make it out of here before midnight.” Then there is some important breaking news. Jeanette cuts in: “We have some breaking news — an explosion at the diaper station.”

Jeannette and Robert are happy the video is helping spread joy. It has been viewed 4.7 million times on TikTok and received over 455,000 likes on Twitter. Jeannette told the Washingtonian, “One of the things that stood out to me is how appreciative people were of positive, heartwarming content. If we can make people smile, that means the world to us.”
