Most #Japanese still don’t know if LINE originally initiated from #Korea. There are some far-right Japanese politicians who don’t want to use #LINE, but it is not a viable option as everyone uses LINE in #Japan. It’s like giving up #Kakao Business Channel or #NAVER Corp Store in Korea, or giving up WhatsApp Business or Instagram for Business in other countries. So the far-right politicians who are anti-Korea use it anyway.

Having been quite an #individualist and #cosmopolitan who doesn’t conform to Korean social norms and living a socially-maladjusted life for the past three decades, I still say and think things the Korean general public wouldn’t view nicely. Therefore, it is essential for me to keep my profile low (#韬光养晦) by expressing my opinion mostly in English and Spanish.

The #Chinese idiom, meaning “waiting patiently without revealing one’s talent or fame”, dating back to Romance of Three Kingdoms(#三国演义), where Liu Bei was dependent on Cao Cao, hiding his talents and secretly growing his powers. He deliberately made him look like a fool to relieve his vigilance. However, it became well-known thanks to the foreign policy China’s leader #DengXiaoping has taken since the 1980s.
