Myanmar plans to import Russian fuel amid rising prices, a junta spokesperson said. Zaw Min Tun said authorities permitted to import petrol from Russia, favoured for its quality and low cost. In the past week, petrol stations have shut down in various parts of the country because of shortages. Myanmar is also considering joint oil exploration with Russia and China.
