Luke 14:25-35 “Radical Commitment”
It seems like wherever Jesus went…a crowd formed around Him.
But He knew that not everyone was following Him to be His disciple.
Not everyone in that crowd believes He is the Messiah.
There are varied reasons why the multitudes followed Jesus…but for many in the crowd…it was all about what Jesus could do for them.
This is a good place to analyze our own walk with the Lord, and search your heart and ask the tough question, what do I want from Him?
If you are following Him for what He can do for you…than you are not following Jesus…you are using Him!
We need to ask, how committed am I to being His disciple?
As you will discover in these verses today…following Jesus requires a radical commitment on our part.
So, we need to ask ourselves… “Why do I follow Jesus?”
