Ukrainian Refugee Living the American Dream (ft. Angela Grabovsky)

In today's CPAC Exclusive, Elaine Beck interviews Angela Grabovsky, a Ukrainian refugee of Jewish heritage who fled the Soviet Union for the land of the free, to discuss her inspiring story, the promise of America, and fighting to save the American Dream in Washington.

Angela Grabovsky came to America seeking a future filled with hope. Growing up in the Soviet Union she didn’t understand what it meant to be free. Freedom was only something Angela dreamed about. Her reality consisted of no opportunity, communist ideology, and raging antisemitism. When Ronald Reagan gave his Berlin Wall speech, urging President Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall, it inspired her family and showed them America was the land of freedom and opportunity. Then, in 1989 they had the chance to escape to America. She had to smuggle her diploma out of the country, and when she got to America she had to work hard to make ends meet while learning English at the same time.

Watching America descend into a communist-esque country made her realize she has a responsibility to step up, go to Washington, and be part of fighting for the very soul of the American nation. Angela fights to keep the American Republic and stop the radical left.
