G.B. Dye: “After successfully fending off an ME 110 German Fighter, I noticed the appearance of five glowing ‘balls of light’ heading straight towards the aircraft, which I took to be rockets, to begin with. I radioed the skipper, Arthur Horton, who proceeded to put the aircraft into a number of steep turns in an effort to shake them off, to no avail. After about ten minutes the objects, showing tail-like flames moving in spurts of speed, seemed to burn and fade away. Although I went on to complete 28 operations, I never saw anything like this again.”
Date interview: June, 2006. Interviewers: John Hanson and Dawn Holloway (authors, Haunted Skies).
