Burgess Hill Water Tower w Water Slide in Casa Grande AZ

This is another landmark that our friends in Casa Grande Arizona pointed out to us while we spent the night with them. This water tower is partially embedded in this hillside, called Burgess Hill, so that the water temperature stays cooler than it otherwise would had the tower been fully exposed to the constant 100-120 degree (F) heat during the daytime. But the interesting part to us, was that there used to be a working water slide fed by water from the tower. This water slide was apparently decommissioned a couple of decades ago due to the water shortages, but it looks like it was a lot of fun. We've not seen another water tank before that had it's own water slide. Most of the slide was still there on the hillside.
