POINT – COUNTERPOINT (POLITICAL OR SPIRITUAL?)

It occurred to me as I was driving back from Smethport this past weekend, that we have a couple of different ways to respond to what’s going on in this crazy upside-down world we are living in right now. But before we get into our response, it’s probably prudent to acknowledge how most people are feeling right now.

In the last six years and especially the last 2, from my perspective anyway, we have gone from relative normalcy (however you define that) to a world where the patients have broken out and are now running the insane asylum. Both kids and adults don’t know if they are boys or girls any longer and some want to be cats! And we have schools and companies buying into and enabling this insanity. We even have schools that are putting litter boxes around the schools for the one or two people that “identify” as cats.

We were once a constitutional republic, but it’s become increasingly apparent that we are now being run by a Marxist regime that was installed through a bloodless coup. That same Marxist regime is using its power to weaponize every agency in the federal government. Right now, they are targeting conservatives and Trump supporters. But it’s already happening that they are going after anyone that dares speak out against the junta ruling this country. We are no longer a representative government and one might argue that we no longer have two parties but rather a “uni-party” in Washington, DC.

How do we approach this? How do we combat it. And that is where our discussion comes from. Do we battle this politically, a painfully slow and sometimes ineffective method or do we pray to God to take this evil from our shores (and the world). Or is it a combination of both.

Jim T is more of the political action advocate where Jim M keeps his eyes in the bible and looks for spiritual solutions to what obviously is a spiritual battle at its core.
