Harvest Right Fail: How to Solve Problem with Flashing Screen, Download Log, Update Software

This Harvest Right Medium Freeze Drier machine was purchased by me, thanks to the long overdue sale of our Maryland home. I purchased it from our local Do It Best hardware store that is an authorized retailer for Harvest Right.

I've had 2 successful runs. One of bananas and mixed fruit (all it it eaten by now) and a run of ice cream sandwiches and blueberries. Not sure I got the blueberries completely dry. I've got them in the fridge right now. But the icecream sandwiches came out great and are nearly all eaten now, too.

Problem I'm doing the video on showed up in the 3rd batch - after about 12-15 hours, the screen became unresponsive. The freezer compressor was still running. The vacuum seal was still strong, but it just looked "stuck". I turned off the machine, back on again and hit "continue" with the current batch as the machine is smart enough to recognize a power interruption and is supposed to pickup where it left off, but after a few hours, the screen locked up again... timer no longer working, clock stuck, can't push cancel, etc...
