Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD) is a descriptive term for the phenomenon of teenagers with no history of gender dysphoria suddenly announcing a trans identity, typically after spending an enormous amount of time online, and often after a friend comes out as trans.

As outlined in her book "Irreversible Damage", Abigail Shrier talks to real families of teenage girls who developed gender-related distress at puberty, and watched their daughters slip away as they joined the largest targeted group for gender transition in today's society.
