08-14-19. Join us at the Kapper Farm homestead for a great day of success on the farm, and a beautiful day to be outside! We had Iron Mike over (From Walker Outdoors) to work on machines, the rehab Branson tractor, the 4 row planter and the dump truck all got some attention from the master mechanic. Meanwhile I hit the fields for some food plot spraying in preparation for fall food plots, some property management, and some deer food plots. I got an update on the corn, soybeans and Milo that I recently planted a week or so ago. Looks like we've got good germination of the corn and Milo, but not so much on the soybeans, but this is how our farms work... We take the ups and downs and make the best of them all! This year we introduced a new conservation program and added about 10 acres of CRP warm season native grasses to our property dividing up the food plots. I am looking forward to planting the fall plots to make up for a disastrous spring food plot season and the damage caused to our clover plots by hideous weed growth this year! Thanks for joining us. Don't forget to hit the like button and subscribe to follow all of our land management projects, our Kentucky Land projects and Kentucky farmhouse rehab, tractor projects, excavator projects and much more country living adventures. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.
