VALENCIA DRIVE【4K】
🚖 🚦 THIS 4K VALENCIA CITY CENTER DRIVING VIDEO TAKES YOU AROUND THE BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN AREA OF VALENCIA, SHOWING YOU SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR HIGHLIGHTS AND NEIGHBORHOODS SUCH AS:
1. Valencia Neighbourhood Ciutat Vella - Also known as the Old Town, is the cultural, historical, and political center of Valencia. It’s one of the most popular areas due to a large number of iconic monuments, museums, and cafes.
2. Mercado Central - A spacious marketplace built in 1928. The hall contains hundreds of market stalls where vendors sell fresh fruits, vegetables, and food products from the Valencia region, as well as other areas of Spain.
3. Torres de Serranos (Ancient Town Gate) - This impressive landmark is a symbol of Valencia. The Torres de Serranos represents an ancient gate of the Old Town and recalls an era when the town was surrounded by defense walls. The town ramparts were built in the 14th century on top of Roman foundations.
4. Plaça de la Reina - a Beautiful square, with flowers in the middle, and cafes, restaurants, and grand buildings around the edge. The one thing you can't help but notice when you are in the square is the Cathedral and bell tower, which stand at its northern end. Just off the square, at the southwest end, is the small Plaza Santa Catalina, where you can visit Iglesia de Santa Catalina.
5. Plaza del Ayuntamiento - In English "Council Square", is the main plaza in the center of Valencia. It was built on the gardens of an old monastery and has suffered many changes up until the beginning of the 20th Century. Several beautiful modernist buildings can also be found in this square, such as the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento de Valencia) and the Central Post Office (Edificio de Correos).
6. Porta de la Mar - The Porta de la Mar or the Puerta del Mar, was constructed after the Spanish Civil War and is a memorial to those who perished during the fighting.
7. La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències de València - One of Europe's most impressive centers dedicated to cultural and scientific exhibitions.
Valencia is home to around 800.000 inhabitants, all of which reside within 19 districts and 87 different boroughs of Valencia. Valencia is Spain’s third-largest metropolitan area, with a population ranging from 1.7 to 2.5 million depending on how the metropolitan area is defined (Camp del Turia, Horta Oeste, Horta Nort, Horta Sur…).
