Just off the square, at the southwest end, is the small Plaza Santa Catalina, where you can visit Iglesia de Santa Catalina.

5. Plaza del Ayuntamiento - In English "Council Square", is the main plaza in the center of Valencia. It was built on the gardens of an old monastery and has suffered many changes up until the beginning of the 20th Century. 6. Porta de la Mar - The Porta de la Mar or the Puerta del Mar, was constructed after the Spanish Civil War and is a memorial to those who perished during the fighting.
