Four times the seasonal norm: Istanbul inundated after heavy rain

Heavy rain caused flooding in and around Istanbul. People had to remove water from their shops, pedestrians walked through streets flooded up to their ankles, and cars sank in potholes. In some areas, roads turned into lakes and vehicles became stranded.
