Power-Stop Install Follow-up & Wheel Mounting Surface Cleaning – 08/15/2022

The title more or less sums it up. So, 7,725 miles after I install the Power-Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Kit I will get very occasional & intermittent brake pulsations. I show in the video how lateral runout on the tire/ wheel assembly can be a contributor to brake pulsation. It is just as important to make sure that the surface between the wheel and rotor is clean as it is between the rotor and hub-bearing flange; because build-up of anything on the wheel mounting surface can cause the wheel to clamp down unevenly on the rotor & could make it run unevenly. I clean the powder coating and residual buildup off the wheel and off the mounting surface of the brake rotor, along with turning the wheel 144 degrees to get rid of the intermittent brake pulsation.
