Blinders help us to focus by directing attention and minimizing distractions. Blind spots are generally issues a leader is unaware of and come in many forms I.e the emperor has no clothes. Obstacles on the other hand are generally obvious to everyone, including the leader, they just have not been dealt with for myriad reasons up to and including a desire to maintain the obstacles out of misplaced affection. Leaders must remove obstacles especially when there is an attachment which hinders the vision and peripheral vision of the organization.” J Loren Norris
