It is common to find the squeaky wheel getting the grease, or getting replaced, and often squeaking intentionally just to cause friction because it serves their own agenda. The epitome of this process is the leader who uses the system to manipulate and control by pitting team members against each other, abusing relationships and projecting themselves as both victim and hero at once.
