3DS Max to Unreal Engine 4 - Lightmap Templates (2019)
Here I describe what Lightmap Templates are, and how they are crucial for lightmapping and to prevent most if not all shadow bleeding caused by not lining up UV Islands to pixels on the UV Grid. This is a very common reason why you still get bleeding even if you follow all tutorials on the subject. Credit goes out to Warren Marshall here on YouTube for having tutorials on Lightmap Templates and how they are used to prevent bleeding. This also works for UDK as well as other Game Engines outside of older ones like UE2.5, UE2, and the like that tend to only use Vertex Lighting. Sorry there is now mouse cursor throughout the video, for some reason AMD ReLive refused to pick it up while recording so some parts may not make sense when i speak because the mouse simply does not show up.
