Sandy Berger Hillary and Bill Clinton's Classified Document Thief

Sandy Berger was a long time friend of The Clintons. He was promoted to National Security Advisor. Berger had a long history of stealing and destroying highly classified documents from the National Archives. He admitted during the "911 Commission" that he had taken documents home. Sandy once was caught with documents shoved in his pants and socks. The Justice Department protected him.

"In April 2005, Berger pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material from the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

Berger was fined $50,000, sentenced to serve two years of probation and 100 hours of community service, and stripped of his security clearance for three years.

In 1999, Berger was criticized for failing to promptly inform President Clinton of his knowledge that the People's Republic of China had managed to acquire the designs of a number of U.S. nuclear warheads. Berger was originally briefed of the espionage by the Department of Energy (DOE) in April 1996, but did not inform the president until July 1997.
