Video of Dwayna's 501c3 Lighting the Way in action, in outreach of evangelism to underprivileged kids who live in the projects of East Nashville in her Character Counts Club where they play games, learn about Jesus and how to be saved, and get rewards for good character. Working with Walmart and Target, other needs are provided like Christmas gifts, coats for children who would not otherwise have a coat, and food with treats provided weekly by Publix. She teaches these kids being raised by their single mothers how to know God as their Father through Jesus. Dwayna is also teaching one boy how to read in private tutoring, as this child in inner city public school, already in the fifth grade, somehow skipped learning basic phonics and wants to learn how to read.
