CPI is expected to be higher than July - Core CPI that is. When the CPI number is released Wednesday at 8:30 am Eastern Time, the core CPI number is expected to have gone up over the July core CPI number. That means inflation has continued to rise, and the Federal Reserve might have to raise interest rates higher than expected at their September Fed meeting.
