South African Police beat man with baton | For reporting a missing person?

Bizarre daylight beating of a man in South Africa by police. Why? While we do not know all the facts of circumstances surrounding this beating, one thing is clear: the assault is a CRIME by the police and wholly unwarranted. The man posed no apparent threat, had no visible weapon.
