Tucker Carlson Why is Beauty So Important and Why Did Tyrants Always Try to Destroy It

July 15, 2022 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center The Family Leader Christian Organization held their annual summit in Des Moines, Iowa. Tickets ranged in price from $39 each for students and military to $75. All 1800 seats sold out. Speakers included were Tucker Carlson, Steve Deace, Bob Vander Plaats, Greg Baker, Dr. Tony Evans, Chuck Hurley, Monte Knudson, Dr. Bill Lile, Barry Meguiar, Tommy Walker, Kim Reynolds, and Chuck Grassley.

Tucker Carlson claims “Noble ideologies produce beautiful results. They produce beauty. Poisonous ideologies produce ugliness. Super simple. There's a reason the architecture in Bulgaria in 1975 was hideous.” Tucker continues to claim that it was because it was controlled by the Soviet Union. He continues: "Soviet architecture was horrifying. So was architecture under Mao. They knocked down everything worth having built during the preceding millennia and replaced it with concrete boxes. Why did they do that? Because those boxes, those buildings, that architecture that design sent a very clear message that is "You are worth nothing." There is no beauty for you. Now why is beauty so important and why did tyrants always destroy it? Well they destroy it because beauty reminds you that the most important things are eternal. They are unchanging. Beauty is recognizable across cultures across centuries. You can go to a place. A culture completely unfamiliar with and you see something beautiful and you recognize it immediately. Why? Because beauty has balance and symmetry and grace."
