QUESTIONABLE Value... The Alec Bradley PRENSADO Gran Toro - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Sometimes we review really exotic cigars. Other times, like today, we review cigars that you should be able to find at any cigar shop just about anywhere in the world. Today we're going to review the Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro, a cigar you're likely to find on the shelf at your local lounge.

The first thing I noticed about the Alec Bradley Prensado was how aromatic it was. As soon as I removed the cigar from its cellophane I noticed the fragrance of cedar wafting off of the tobacco.

Once I cut the end with my guillotine, the pre-light draw was perfect with some floral notes and hints of cedar. After lighting the cigar, the flavors were of cedar, spice, and something just faintly reminiscent of sour candy.

Through the middle of the Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro, the cigar burned quite unevenly. I had to torch the cigar multiple times to fix it.

Final Thoughts

First of all, I was only able to smoke the Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro for about 65 minutes, which is about 30% shorter than I should've been able to enjoy a toro of this size. Additionally, the cigar burned uneven through most of that time and I had to relight it no less than three times. For a $13 cigar, that's not good enough.

However, the draw was good and the flavors were decent. Largely because this cigar didn't deliver a good value for the price, the Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro earns a CigarScore 3.
