Chicago Bears winners & losers after their NFL Preseason Week 1 win over the Kansas City Chiefs features players like rookie Trestan Ebner, who made a positive impact on the Bears’ offense rushing for 31 yards in the Bears’ win! Ebner also caught a touchdown pass and had a nice kickoff return. How outplayed 2nd-year RB Khalil Herbert who had 2 drops and only 20 yards rushing on 7 carries. Jaquan Brisker might be the biggest Chicago Bears preseason winner after tallying 4 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup which was almost an interception. The rookie safety looks like the real deal for Da Bears.

Soldier Field might be the biggest loser after the Bears first preseason game. The field looked to be in terrible condition with dirt and holes everywhere. NFLPA President JC Tretter even tweeted out that it was embarrassing that the Bears field passed the thresholds of allowing a game to be played. Chicago Bears rumors on moving to Arlington Heights are already running rampant, this will not slow down that speculation. Bears UDFA LB Jack Sanborn was another standout during the preseason opener as he had an interception, fumble recovery and led Chicago with 7 tackles. He’s put himself in good position to make the Bears 53-man roster. WR Tajae Sharpe made 2 highlight-reel catches, including a 1 handed snag from Justin Fields up the sideline. The Bears are looking for wide receivers to step up, and he did that today. Bears rookie punter Trenton Gill deserves a quick shout-out for booming several punts and pinning the Chiefs back inside the 15 on numerous occasions.
