Today our expedition group onboard the MV. Rodney Fox reported seeing 6 wonderful male and female great white sharks of a whole range of sizes, including our dear old friend IMAX back for his 15th consecutive year visiting the Neptune Islands.

A lot of focus always seems to be applied to the biggest great whites we experience, however with great whites even the little ones seem to carry huge charisma’s.

Great whites at the Neptune Islands are often the athletic sub-adults along and large adult males arriving randomly throughout the year with occasional giant adult females also making occasional breathtaking appearances. Surprising to many however is that experiencing the smallest juveniles under 2.0m long (like the wee female, currently at the Neptune Islands shot by Passanger Sally Hurst) is actually quite special and the rarest of treats.
