"In 2021 I lodged for a single-sex exemption to the Anti Discrimination Commissioner to hold a Lesbian Event at my mother's and brother's venue in Launceston, Tasmania. In Tasmania, we have nothing specifically for lesbians and I wanted to cater for my own community - the lesbian community. It seems that in Tasmania it is now unlawful for lesbians to have a single-sex exemption to hold events."
