RBI Deputy Governor Michael Patra said India was informed by the US Treasury Department about fuel made from Russian crude being shipped to New York on an Indian ship, in violation of US sanctions on Russia. The ship allegedly picked crude from a Russian tanker mid-sea, brought it to Gujarat for refining and took it to the US, Patra revealed.
