You Are Out There Somewhere

We found a bunch of very obscure One-Hit Wonders from the UK in the early Sixties we didn't know what to do with but apparently the Mayor did. He's concocted another weekend version of the Segue City Special with Harlem John's Reshuffle (that doesn't roll off the tongue like the Beatles does it?) and the Flirtations (an American female singing group like the Supremes who thought that working in Great Britain would get them the break they needed but it really didn't). Just the same, the songs work together and the Mayor has fulfilled his part of the weekly bargain of mixes so we can have the weekend off and that's what matters to us...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
