Arkansas-based Wilson Combat has been a player in the custom and semi-custom M1911 game for over 40 years and its CQB line is tough to beat.

First introduced a decade ago, the Close Quarters Battle, or CQB series, today is a thoroughly modernized version of John Browning's venerable single-action pistol. Built in the tried-and-true original style but with more contemporary features that lend towards better performance, the series is pitched for use in defense, competition, or daily carry roles.

Today, the line includes the standard full-sized CQB with a 5-inch barrel, the upgraded CQB Elite, the 4.25-inch CQB Commander and the corresponding Elite Commander; as well as the 4-inch CQB Compact.
