How to remove the metal straps or bands from a pallet using only a hammer

When you receive your safe, it will come strapped to the pallet with either plastic or metal straps. Many customers don't have a snipping tool handy for cutting the metal straps. Kelly in Customer Support & Purchasing demonstrates how easy it is to remove the metal straps using just a claw hammer.

This is Kelly with SafeandVaultStore.com and I am in Customer Support and Purchasing. Today I'm going to show you how easy it is to remove the metal bands or plastic bands from your safe once you've received it. Putting on my safety glasses if you have them. Great!

A lot of our safes come with plastic bands that you can cut with a sharp knife. Removes them from the pallet. A lot of our safes come with metal bands that won't work on a knife. If you have snippers, great. If not, you can use a claw head hammer and get the claw as close as you can to that metal band here. Get real snug on there and just twist. There you go.
