How I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost (misconception of Ephesians 1:13)

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," Ephesians 1:13

------------------------------

Many do not understand the scripture above. Those who lack faith and do not believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost are usually the ones who use the scripture above incorrectly to wrongfully assume they received the Holy Ghost simultaneously the moment they believed the Gospel.

That is not true. When we rightly divide the scriptures we see otherwise. In this video I show that belief in the Gospel is essential before we receive the Holy Ghost but it does not take place simultaneously at the moment of belief. We see in the Bible believers void of the Spirit until the Holy Ghost falls upon them.

Now one can argue the teaching on this subject but it will not change the facts. The Bible (Word of God) is the source of Truth and as Paul stated: "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you have believed? That is the question to ask yourself and if you say yes, you spoke in New Tongues per Mark 16:17. If you say no then you are being honest with yourself and you have the opportunity to receive the Gift of God's Spirt. Just go to God in faith believing and ask him for it.

Amen.

"Brother, I am sure you know this but to those who don't, they must understand that when Paul said, "Do all speak in tongues?" he wasn't speaking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost which every TRUE believer should receive (Mark 16:17). He was referring to gifts within the church body for edification! That is why he said in 1 Cor 12:1 "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant." Then he proceeds to explain the differing gifts for the "administration" and "operation" within the construct of the church body for edification of one towards another. I haven't had the time to make this teaching available for all but will soon." Bro Gabriel
