Save us, O LORD, for good men fail; because the faithful among the children of men are few.
Each one speaks falsely to his neighbor; they speak with flattering lips and a double heart.
The Lord will cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaks proudly.
For they say, With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are ours; who is lord over us?
For the oppression of the poor, for the groaning of the needy I will arise now, saith the Lord; I will save him to whom they blow.
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.
You will keep them, Lord; from this generation you will deliver them forever.
The wicked walk about, when the vilest of the sons of men are exalted.
