Canada, Sign the Nuclear Ban Treaty! Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day 77th Anniversary Commemoration

On August 9, 2022, the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day Coalition hosted the 77th Anniversary Commemoration of the Atomic bombings of Japan. Peace activists and dynamic presenters, including keynote speaker Akira Kawasaki, youth speaker Rooj Ali, and Hiroshima survivor Setsuko Thurlow, highlighted the importance of Canadian support for the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The event also featured a message from City of Toronto Mayor John Tory, and music by Grammy-nominated flautist Ron Korb.
