The Importance of Breath in Bowen Therapy
Dr. Manon Bolliger, ND asks "How much breathing do you ask your client to do?" You can ask them to breathe at the beginning of treatment to set the tone but Dr. Bolliger doesn't ask patients to breathe in and out during treatment. What's important is that the Vagus Nerve is activated by the out breath (exhalation) and all of our moves are done on the out breath. She doesn't want to be disturb a person who's relaxing to take a breath for the move. Better to go with what you are observing!
